Auction Preview from Lower East Side Printshop
The Lower East Side Printshop have a open auction preview until February 14. A great opportunity for artists to check out their printing space, you can apply for a residency and work with a master printer- if you get through the competition. A lot of former Pratt students on display in the exhibition.

Sunday at the Met
Nothing beats the Met. This is my little potpourri from the days visit. The show Satellites, Steichen, Strand (until 10 of April) was beautiful, but crowded. Since I will study Oceanic Art this semester I took a closer look at the collection from the Pacific Ocean… And I love just waking through the many different galleries, looking and taking pictures, here is some old and new favorites.
Gallery tour on Lower East Side
Gallery tour on the Lower East Side didn’t offer much. Still, Leor Grady’s pile of pillows, (”Wall”) at Hendershot Gallery cached my attention by its simple stillness. Also Seth Michael Forman’s odd paintings are worth mentioning, they are showed at Frosch & Portmann.

Love the photo!
At the time I love looking through photo books. My old time favorite is Gerhard Richter’s Atlas, so much I and considering bringing it back to New York, but deep inside I know is way too heavy. I can highly recommend taking a look at Swedish photographer Bruno Östling’s work, if you like I love birds. The article Back to Work in British Journal of photography is a great kick for the new years work, for any artist- not just photographers.
