Flux Factory is a wonderful labyrinth of workshops, residencies and a gallery space. People have lived here a long time and people have lived here a short time. They are all great artists and greet you well! This is a good reason to go too Queens!

Lee Krasner, a amazing painter and in the constant shadow of her husband Jackson Pollock still showing at Robert Miller Gallery. The Gallery also own beautiful works of Yayoi Kusama, don’t miss them!

The Lower East Side Printshop have a open auction preview until February 14. A great opportunity for artists to check out their printing space, you can apply for a residency and work with a master printer- if you get through the competition. A lot of former Pratt students on display in the exhibition.

Nothing beats the Met. This is my little potpourri from the days visit. The show Satellites, Steichen, Strand (until 10 of April) was beautiful, but crowded. Since I will study Oceanic Art this semester I took a closer look at the collection from the Pacific Ocean… And I love just waking through the many different…

Gallery tour on the Lower East Side didn’t offer much. Still, Leor Grady’s pile of pillows, (”Wall”) at Hendershot Gallery cached my attention by its simple stillness. Also Seth Michael Forman’s odd paintings are worth mentioning, they are showed at Frosch & Portmann.
