18 januari – 20 februari 2019 Vernissage 18 januari kl 14.30 – 15.30

Vernissage 18 januari KL 14.30 – 15.30
Öppet alla vardagar: KL 11.00 – 16.00 Helger: KL 11.00 – 14.00, Björnstigen 137, Bergshamra. Tel. 072 252 06 27

Solnedgång över Västberga Parkering

Verket ”Solnedgång över Västberga Parkering” med Konsthall 323, 11 november 2018.

Thank you everybody who joined us for Söndagskväll i November med Konsthall 323! ”Solnedgång över Västberga Parkering” is a site specific installation created for Konsthall 323. Konsthall 323 is a conceptual institution venue located in a car. The space is curated and directed by the artists Frida Krohn and Ylva Trapp. They invited me to create a painting installation for a one-night-only event in November, 2018. The show was open 4pm-6pm, when the sun sets in Stockholm, Sweden, a time of the year when it is both dark and grey. The to two fabrics are hand painted on silk.

New collaboration with TIP Architects

Vertikal Rum, nya Slakhus området.

TIP, Theory Into Practice, is an architecture firm, based in Stockholm, that wants to create a better future. They are focused on complex social challenges and they build interdisciplinary constellations with common innovation skills. We started our collaboration around TIP’s ideas about the new Slakthus area in Stockholm. The concept-based collages I created for them are both digital and handmade.

Mural at Mimosan Montessori

Mural at Mimosan Montessori, Lidingö, Stockholm, 2018

I am so proud to have completed my second mural this summer, at Mimosan Montessori. Mimosan is an excellent, pedagogical environment for our smallest citizens. In the ”Cloud Room”, with cloud shaped sound mufflers  in the the ceiling and a rainbow colored carpet my layered shape found an perfect home.

This mural is panted on a warm grey, or purple grey wall, which also facilitated the white layer with confetti sprinkles. All layers are painted with acrylic wall paint with details drawn in posca pencil.

Stockholm opening for ”Tiny Mountains”, An Ordinary Day Film Festival 14-19 August

Rydh /Sörenson is proud to announce our Stockholm premiere for 2018 short film ”Tiny Mountains”.

Tiny Mountains is a mockumentary comedy short. A narrator explains the different time periods the world has gone through. We touch down at each geologic period to see how the world differs from the past. We learn how living creatures like plants, furniture and horses coexist in the ecosystem. Finally, we make a deeper study of the person, an unusual creature with particular wants, needs and habits.

Run time 07:55min, recorded in the Faroe Islands, Denmark and Cesis, Latvia.

Mural at Mantaray Film in Stockholm

The wall is 2,33 m x 4,10 m, painted with acrylic wall paint, 2018.

My first mural painting in Mantaray Films’s Producers Office has been great summer project. I love working straight on the wall and create site specific works. Ever since I worked for Pat Steir, assisting her wall painting installations at Sue Scott gallery, and Anthony Sansotta, artist, director of the Sol LeWitt Estate and long-time assistant to LeWitt, I have wanted to create my own site specific paintings. Because it brings the painting into a milieu, it makes the work less of an object and more a part of the everyday environment, something more approachable and direct.
